Take the A-Series and make it leaner and meaner. The Contractor is a redesign that offers the advantages of a 2 1/2" wide rail for exceptional rigidity and a lower profile thanks to recessed rather than raised tracks. The additional advantage of the recessed tracks is a flat top that can be used with bearing shank router bits. The patented tubes add to the strength of the extrusion while lightening the overall clamp for ease of use.
The CW99 is 3 1/2" wide to provide extra strength for the extended length.

Companion to the standard Contractor clamp, the Contractor Twin is a double sided clamp with one side facing down to clamp to the workbench and one side facing up to hold the work piece. The twin clamps are especially effective when used in pairs for glue ups, assemblies, and to hold pieces for planing and sanding.

Around from the beginning of E. Emerson Tool Co., the A-series has acquired a large following of satisfied users across the US, Canada and England. It is available in 12", 24", 36" and 50" lengths. The 1 3/4" wide clamp has a single raised T-track.
With the newer Contractor clamp now gaining popularity, will you have to replace your tried and trusted A50. Absolutely not. Although the A-series and it's companion Twin are being replaced by the Contractor in some markets, additional clamps and accessories will be available to supplement your collection for years to come. And, nobody says you can't have both styles in your workshop. Just remember that the clamps with raised tracks take the XSP - Saw Plate, XRP - Router Plate and XSB - Stop Block while the Contractor has it own plates and stop block.
Support with repairs parts and replacements will of course continue indefinitly.

All are great clamps and if you already have some A-Series clamps and accessories, you might want to stick with clamps with the raised T-track feature. The A-Series and the companion Twin and Ultra clamps will all use the XSP - Saw Plate, XRP - Router Plate and XSB - Stop Block. The Ultra Series is our heaviest, sturdiest model too. The classic lines will be around for years to come.
If this is your first All-In-One purchase though or if you don't use the plates or stop block, go for the Contractor Series. The Contractor has a lower profile and flat top. It can be used with bearing shank router bits. Because it is wider, it can be used to perform joiner operations on your table saw.
The All-In-One Straight Edge Clamping Tool Guide is complete and ready to use right out of the box. That being said, there are a handful of accessories that might be useful for specific applications.
The Wide Jaw is easy to attach to the pre-drilled Nylon jaws on your clamp. The jaws increase the width of the clamping surface to 3 3/4". This makes it easier to set up your clamp square to the work piece.
But, most people buy the Wide Jaw accessory so they can add a piece of molding to the jaw to create an "Offset Guide" for their circular saw.

Never measure the offset for your circular saw again.
The Tall Jaw is easy to attach to the pre-drilled Nylon jaws on your clamp. The jaws increase the clamping surface to 3 3/4" wide by 1 1/4" high.
The Tall Jaw was designed to be used with our "Twin" style clamps.
The Saw Plate attaches to your circular saw and prevents lateral movment during cutting along the clamp.

Both the original "Twin" and the "Contractor Twin" are bench clamps designed specifically for glue-ups and assembly applications. The twin clamps are two sided with the bottom clamp attaching to the work bench and the top clamp holding the work piece.
Best when used in pairs, the clamps can exert over 600 psi of clamping force in the third locking position pulling even wrapped stock together. In addition, the clamps are excellent for holding work pieces during simple sanding and planing operations.
Add a standard All-In-One Straight Edge to guide your power tool and you have an extra pair of hands holding your work piece while you concentrate on you cut.
Although designed specifically for assembly and glue-up applications, the "Twins" can also be used like the standard All-In-One clamp to guide power tools and will accept all accessories designed for their track style.
